Yann Sommer Retires from International Football After 12-Year Swiss Career

Switzerland's Yann Sommer announced his retirement from international football, concluding a 12-year career with 94 caps.
The 35-year-old goalkeeper, who played all five of Switzerland's matches at Euro 2024, reflected with pride on his time with the national team.
Sommer, who succeeded Diego Benaglio as Switzerland's No. 1 a decade ago, played a pivotal role in the team's success, including a crucial penalty save against France in Euro 2020.
