UEFA has announced the postponement of all matches originally scheduled in Israel for the next two weeks, citing the need to confirm new dates amid the ongoing situation. The decision came in response to Israel's declaration of war following an attack by Hamas militants resulting in significant casualties.
One of the affected matches is the European qualifier between Israel and Switzerland, originally scheduled for October 10. UEFA has also mentioned that it will closely evaluate the circumstances in the coming days to determine whether the European Championship qualifier between Kosovo and Israel, set for October 15, can proceed as planned or if it too will require rescheduling.
UEFA emphasized its commitment to monitoring the situation closely and maintaining communication with all involved teams. The governing body intends to make informed decisions regarding new match dates and potential adjustments to other upcoming fixtures in due course.
