Two-time Grand Slam winner Simona Halep is accused of violating the doping regulations again

Simona Halep, a two-time Grand Slam winner, has been accused of committing a second doping offence due to "irregularities in her athlete biological passport."
The 31-year-old Romanian has been on probation since October after testing positive at the US Open for a prohibited drug.
She has a distinct charge from the one for which she is currently suspended.
Halep said on Instagram that she feels helpless confronting such hostility and rejects the allegations, claiming instead that she has been "a victim of a contamination."
The biological data of athletes is gathered and compared as part of the athlete biological passport programme in order to detect changes over time that might indicate doping.
