Japanese race walker Koki Ikeda has been handed a four-year ban for doping after the Athletics Integrity Unit detected abnormalities in his blood samples from mid-2023.
The 26-year-old, who won silver at the Tokyo Olympics and the 2022 World Championships, had been provisionally suspended since November and has now had all his results from June 20, 2023, to November 1, 2024, annulled.
Ikeda, who denies the charges, retains the right to appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
