Germany's switch from Adidas to Nike kit supplier sparks patriotism debate

The German Football Association's decision to end its longstanding partnership with Adidas and switch to Nike as its kit supplier has sparked dismay in Berlin.
Economy Minister Robert Habeck criticized the move, labeling it as a lack of "patriotism" and expressing difficulty imagining the German shirt without the iconic three stripes.
Despite financial incentives, including a reported 100 million euros ($108 million) per year contract with Nike, concerns remain about the loss of tradition and identity associated with the Adidas partnership.
