FIA Reports F1 Engine Manufacturers Breached Regulations
Posted : 12 September 2024
The FIA announced on Wednesday that while all 10 Formula One teams adhered to the 2023 chassis-manufacturing cost cap, engine manufacturers Alpine and Honda were found to have breached procedural regulations.
The FIA's thorough review, which lasted five months, involved extensive documentation and support from all F1 teams and power unit manufacturers.
Although Alpine and Honda were cited for procedural violations, neither exceeded the cost cap, and both have been cooperative in addressing the issues with the Cost Cap Administration (CCA).
