Czech MotoGP to Return to Brno Circuit in 2025 After Four-Year Hiatus
Posted : 29 August 2024
The Czech MotoGP will make its return to the iconic Brno circuit in 2025 after a four-year hiatus, with a new five-year contract securing its place on the MotoGP calendar until at least 2029.
The Brno circuit, which first hosted events on a street track in 1965 before moving to the current track in 1987, has been a staple in motorcycle racing history.
However, financial difficulties from the Covid-19 pandemic prevented necessary track repairs, causing the race to be paused after 2020.
Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala expressed his pleasure at the event's return, emphasizing its long-standing tradition and the significant influx of visitors it brings to the country.
