Brazil to Rejoin MotoGP Calendar in 2026 for At Least Five Years

Posted : 13 December 2024

Brazil will return to the MotoGP calendar from 2026 for at least five years, with the race taking place at the Goiania circuit, now named after F1 champion Ayrton Senna.

The circuit, located 200km from Brasilia, previously hosted MotoGP races from 1987 to 1989 before the event moved to Interlagos, São Paulo, in 1992.

The move is part of MotoGP's efforts to expand its audience, with Brazil and South America seen as key markets for growth, despite uncertainties surrounding Argentina's future in the championship.
