Gael Monfils Makes History as Oldest ATP Tour Singles Champion

Gael Monfils made history as the oldest ATP Tour singles champion by winning the ASB Classic in Auckland at 38 years and four months.
He defeated Belgium's Zizou Bergs 6-3 6-4 to secure his 13th career title, surpassing Roger Federer’s previous record.
Monfils, who began his career in 2005, now heads to the Australian Open, where he will face young French talent Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard in the first round.
