Football legend Tom Brady, a seven-time Super Bowl champion and current commentator, is set to auction an impressive collection of luxury watches and sports memorabilia. Titled "The GOAT: Tom Brady Watches and Treasures," the auction will take place on December 10 at Sotheby's Auction House in New York City.

The event will feature 27 luxury watches and 20 pieces of sports memorabilia, including significant items like the jersey Brady wore in his final college game and the helmet he used throughout an entire NFL season. Brady expressed his enthusiasm for sharing these special items, stating, “I hope they bring them the same joy and inspiration as they brought me.”

The collection of 27 watches is expected to be valued between $3 million and $6 million, while the 20 sports items are estimated to fetch between $3 million and $5 million. Richard Lopes, a senior watch specialist at Sotheby's, emphasized that the current watch market is favorable for single-owner sales, noting that now is an ideal time for Brady to share his unique items with the world.

The auction is likely to attract significant attention from football fans, particularly with high-value items such as Brady's University of Michigan jersey from the 2000 Orange Bowl, estimated at $300,000 to $500,000, and his white shirt from the 2000 draft trials, priced between $100,000 and $200,000.

Among the watches, a standout piece is the Richard Mill 35-03 "Baby Nadal," a model created in collaboration with Rafael Nadal, which could reach a value of up to $500,000. Additionally, a rose gold Patek Philippe Nautilus watch, owned by Brady since 2017, is estimated to sell for between $180,000 and $240,000. Another noteworthy item is a custom white gold Royal Oak watch by Audemar Piguet, featuring diamond lettering of Brady's name alongside the number 7, symbolizing his seven Super Bowl victories, with an estimated price range of $400,000 to $800,000.

While the luxury watch and collectible markets have seen some declines, particularly due to reduced spending in China, Sotheby's experts believe that demand for certain subcategories remains robust. Brahm Wachter, head of modern collectibles at Sotheby’s, noted that the market for game-worn items is strong, and prices are rising across various sectors. Although Brady's last Tampa Bay jersey sold for $1.4 million last year, falling short of expectations, the current auction may still generate significant interest and financial success.
