Rory McIlroy Reconciles with Wife Erica, Dismisses Divorce Petition

Rory McIlroy and his wife Erica have decided to put an end to their divorce proceedings, with McIlroy dismissing the petition he filed last month. The Northern Irish golfer filed for divorce on May 13, just after winning a PGA Tour event and ahead of the US PGA Championship.
 

Court records from Palm Beach County, Florida, indicate that a "notice of voluntary dismissal" was submitted on Tuesday, closing the case. McIlroy addressed the situation, stating that responding to rumors about his personal life is unproductive and that he and Erica have reconciled.
 

The couple, married since 2017 and parents to one child, Poppy Kennedy McIlroy, born in 2020, have chosen to focus on their family and look forward to a fresh start together.
