Erling Haaland's lavish purchase: Manchester City striker acquires rare Mercedes AMG One
Posted : 28 February 2024
Erling Haaland, the accomplished Norwegian striker, achieved remarkable success with Manchester City last season, clinching all major trophies. Not only did he secure the Golden Boot, but he also earned the prestigious title of UEFA Player of the Year.
Despite these accolades, Haaland's passion extends beyond the football pitch; he is renowned for his love of cars. Recent reports from Norway reveal that he, along with childhood friend Ole Arbattag, has indulged in the purchase of the exclusive Mercedes AMG One, a German supercar carrying a hefty price tag of 3.2 million euros.
The Mercedes AMG One stands out as the epitome of luxury and performance, with a production limited to just 275 units globally. Powered by five Formula 1 engines, it boasts an impressive 1,063 horsepower, accelerating from 0 to 200 km/h in a mere seven seconds.
Further, it achieves speeds of 300 km/h in 15.6 seconds, with a maximum velocity of 352 km/h. Despite his considerable earnings, Haaland, who joined Manchester City for 75 million euros in 2022, chose to share this extravagant acquisition with Arbattag, the founder of the investment company HiTecVision, with the delivery expected soon.
Haaland's car collection in Holland is a testament to his affinity for luxury vehicles. Notable additions include the Rolls-Royce Cullinan SUV valued at 350,000 euros, the Audi RS6 Avant, and Range Rover Sport with a combined value of 120,000 euros, and the Mercedes AMG GLE priced at 105,000 euros.
At just 23 years old, Haaland's success extends beyond his garage, leading the Premier League's scoring charts this season with an impressive tally of 17 goals, adding to his remarkable total of 36 from the previous season, along with five goals in the Champions League.
