The 44-year-old singer, known as the rabbit, is set to grace the stage during the Super Bowl halftime show on February 11 next year in Las Vegas. Following in the footsteps of acclaimed artists like Shakira, Jennifer Lopez, The Weeknd, and Rihanna, Asher has been chosen for this prestigious performance, sponsored by Apple Music.
Expressing his excitement, Asher remarked, "It's a once-in-a-lifetime honor to finally appear at the Super Bowl and check off that goal. I can't wait to deliver a performance you've never seen before. Thank you to all the fans and everyone who made it happen. I'll see you soon."
In conjunction with his Super Bowl appearance, Asher has announced his ninth album, "Coming Home," which will also debut on the same day. This marks his first album release in seven years. Throughout his career, he has seen 18 singles climb into the top 10 of Billboard's Top 100 Songs chart, with nine of them achieving the prestigious number one position, including hits like "U Got It Bad," "Yeah!," "My Boo," and "OMG."
Seth Dubowski, head of NFL music, praised Asher as an icon whose music has made a significant impact on music culture. Last year, Rihanna's Super Bowl performance, during which she revealed her pregnancy with her second child, became the most-watched in Super Bowl history.
