Tiafoe, De Minaur Advance in Erste Bank Open 2024 Action

Frances Tiafoe advanced to the next round of the Erste Bank Open 2024 with a straight-sets victory over Britain's Cameron Norrie, winning 6-4, 7-6 (4). Tiafoe displayed solid form, avoiding any major challenges as he secured his place in the competition.

 

Meanwhile, the number 2 seed, Alex de Minaur, faced a tougher battle in his opening match. The Australian initially struggled, dropping the first set 2-6 to Germany's Jan Lennard Struff. However, de Minaur regrouped and came back strong, winning the next two sets 6-2, 6-2 to move on to the round of 16, where he will face Italy's Flavio Cobolli.

 

Other results saw Marcos Giron defeat fellow American Alex Michelsen in straight sets, 7-6 (4), 6-3, while Miomir Kecmanovic cruised past Argentina's Marano Navone, 6-2, 6-4.
