World number one Iga Swiatek secured her third consecutive Qatar Open title with a comeback victory against Elena Rybakina.
Despite trailing 4-1 in the first set, Swiatek rallied to win 7-6 (10-8) 6-2, claiming her 18th WTA title and becoming the first player to win a WTA singles title three times in a row since Serena Williams achieved the feat from 2013-15.
Rybakina faced challenges, including a medical timeout, allowing Swiatek to break her serve and seal the victory. Both players are set to compete in the Dubai Tennis Championship.
In other tennis action, Australia's Alex de Minaur celebrated his 25th birthday with a 6-4 6-3 victory over Grigor Dimitrov, earning a spot in the Rotterdam Open final against Australian Open champion Jannik Sinner.
Carlos Alcaraz, the Wimbledon champion, missed a chance at his first final of the season, losing 7-6 (7-2) 6-3 to Nicolas Jarry in the Argentina Open semifinal. Alcaraz was the defending champion at the clay-court event.
