Sinner triumphs in ATP finals opener against Tsitsipas, securing confident victory

Jannik Sinner made a commanding start at the ATP Finals, securing a 6-4 6-4 victory over Stefanos Tsitsipas. Competing in this high-stakes tournament for the second time, the current world No. 4 displayed exceptional skill, claiming the win in an hour and 25 minutes. The Italian showcased his prowess in front of a supportive home crowd at Turin’s Pala Alpitour, managing to keep Tsitsipas at bay, not allowing any breakthrough moments for the Greek player.

His dominance continued into the second set, breaking Tsitsipas in the opening game. Thriving on the support from the Italian spectators, Sinner closed the match swiftly, claiming victory on his first match point. This win marked his third triumph over Tsitsipas, a significant achievement against a formidable opponent.
