Nigeria's Aruna Quadri retains top spot on ITTF rankings

Nigeria's ace Table Tennis star, Aruna Quadri has retained his crown as Africa's number 1 in the latest ranking released by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) on Wednesday.
According to the ranking by ITTF released for July, Quadri retained his former position in the ranking.
Quadri's performances at the just-concluded WTT Durban series was spectacular, although he missed the Lagos tournament citing club engagement and injury but he bounced back to compete in Ljubljana in Slovenia.
According to the ranking released, the Nigerian Olympian was ranked 18th in the World and still maintained his top spot as an African number one.
Aruna garnered 1240 points to be among the best 20 table tennis players in the World.
Chinese trio of Fan Zhendong, Wang Chuqn and Ma Long occupied the top 3 spots in the World.
