Nigeria fails to qualify for Paris 2024 Olympics Table tennis

Team Nigeria table tennis will not be flying the colours of the country at the Paris 2024 Olympics as they fell to the Egyptian stronger opposition.
Egypt continues its dominance over Team Nigeria’s table tennis team in the ongoing ITTF African Championship in Rades, Tunisia.
Egypt defeated both male and female team Nigeria in the final of the African championship to qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
The duo of Nigeria Funke Oshonaike and Olajide Omotayo qualified for the final of the Mixed double after their 3-0 victory over the host Tunisia in the semi-final.
They confronted the high-flying Egyptian duo of Dina Meshref and Omar Assar and lost 3-1.
The North African country posted another dominant performance and recorded an emphatic 3-1 (11-8, 6-11, 11-1, 12-10) to clinch the title.
Apart from winning the African championship, the Egyptians also booked their place in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
