At the Rome tournament, world number 1 Novak Djokovic encountered an unsettling moment when he was struck by a bottle that fell from the stands while signing autographs for fans.
Following the incident, Djokovic was promptly taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation. Fortunately, after a brief period, he recovered and is currently in good health.
During the first round of the Masters tournament, Djokovic secured a victory over Corentin Motte, but as he proceeded to sign autographs for supporters, a metal bottle unexpectedly hit his head, causing him to fall to the ground.
Video footage revealed that the bottle had fallen from a fan's bag, seemingly unintentionally. Despite the initial concern and cancellation of the scheduled press conference, Djokovic's hospital assessment confirmed his well-being, dispelling earlier suspicions of malicious intent.
