In the Barcelona Open semifinals, reigning winner Carlos Alcaraz defeated British No. 2 Dan Evans in straight sets.

In the second semifinal, the Greek No. 2 seed defeated Lorenzo Musetti 6-4 5-7 6-3.
Alcaraz, the winner of the US Open last year, will be going for his third victory of the year following victories in Buenos Aires and Indian Wells.
The 19-year-old Spaniard has defeated Tsitsipas three times in his career, including in the quarterfinals of the Barcelona Open last year, when he prevailed in three sets.
In Barcelona, No. 2 in the world Alcaraz aims to defend his championship.
"Of course, how you reach a final is vital for your confidence, and I enter into tomorrow with a wonderful feeling," said Alcaraz, who has not lost a set in any of his four victories in the competition.
