Cameron Norrie, the top-ranked British player, made a comeback to secure a spot in the Queen's quarter-finals for the second time by defeating Australian Jordan Thompson.
After losing the first set due to some mistakes, Norrie, seeded fifth, rallied back to win 4-6, 6-3, 6-2.
Expressing his satisfaction with the match, Norrie described it as perfect. In the quarter-finals, he is set to face American Sebastian Korda.
On the other hand, fellow Briton Ryan Peniston was unable to advance as he faced a 6-3, 6-4 defeat against second seed Holger Rune.
Despite previously defeating Rune at Eastbourne last year and reaching the quarter-finals at Queen's, Peniston, currently ranked outside the top 250, encountered a formidable challenge against the improved Rune.
Rune, ranked sixth in the world, quickly gained an early break to silence the home crowd and comfortably sealed the first set.
Although Peniston fought hard, saving two break points in a lengthy fifth game of the second set, he eventually lost his serve with a double fault. Rune went on to defeat Peniston and set up a meeting with Italian player Lorenzo Musetti.
