Cameron Norrie Defeats Taro Daniel, After Recovering from a Set Down to Get to the Round of 16

Sunday afternoon saw Cameron Norrie overcame the challenge of falling behind a set to his Japanese opponent Taro Daniel and persevered to win two straight sets, advancing him into the round of 16 at the prestigious tournament in the United States with a 6-7(5) 7-5 6-2 victory.
Norrie advanced to this stage with ease after defeating Taiwanese opponent Wu Tung-lin 6-2 6-4, while Daniel played well in his round-of-64 encounter to defeat seasoned Italian and No. 20 seed Matteo Berrettini 7-6(5) 0-6 6-3.
The eighth-ranked British player, who defeated Carlos Alcaraz at the end of last month to win the Rio Open, is aiming to add to his second ranking victory of the year.
The sixth seed Andrey Rublev, who defeated Ugo Humbert 7-5 6-3, will be his next opponent.
