2024 Daniel Ford Elite Table Tennis Championship serves off in Lagos

The highly anticipated 2nd Daniel Ford Elite Youth Table Tennis Invitational Championships commenced at the Molade Okoya-Thomas Hall of Teslim Balogun Stadium.  


Defending champion Matthew Kuti is determined to retain his title against a strong field of contenders.

Kuti, the 2023 African Games gold medalist, seeks to make history as the first player to win consecutive titles at this prestigious tournament.  


Organized by the Nigeria Table Tennis Federation (NTTF) and sponsored by Daniel Ford International, the event promises intense competition.  


Fresh from his impressive performances at international tournaments, including the Africa Championships in Ethiopia, Kuti remains confident in his abilities.  


However, he anticipates fierce challenges from perennial rivals Muiz Adegoke and Abdulbasit Abdulfatai.  


The U-19 event is expected to be thrilling, with Kuti facing a talented lineup of players over the two-day tournament.  


Focused and determined, Kuti is prepared to overcome his regular opponents and secure victory once again.
