Nigeria's brightest table tennis player, Aruna Quadri, defeated Egypt's El Beiali Mohamed 4-0 in the men's singles category semi-final at the ongoing African Games in Accra, Ghana.
Omar Assar of Egypt also secured a victory by defeating Diaw Ibrahima of Senegal 4-2 in the second semi-final, setting up a highly anticipated final against Aruna Quadri.
Quadri, Africa's best-ranked player, is making his fourth appearance at the Games in Accra since his debut at the 2011 edition in Maputo, Mozambique. He is poised for his second final appearance.
The Nigerian, who lost in the 2015 final 3-4 to Omar Assar, hopes to clinch his first gold medal at the Games against the Egyptian.
