On day two of the World Rugby U20 Trophy 2023 in Nairobi, several teams maintained their unbeaten records. Samoa faced a tough challenge from Hong Kong but managed to secure a 30-27 victory, despite being reduced to 12 players at one point. Spain also maintained their perfect record, defeating the hosts Kenya 48-18 in an entertaining match.
In Pool A, Uruguay staged a remarkable comeback against Zimbabwe, winning 51-14 after initially trailing 14-0. The Uruguayan team's impressive performance sets up a potential decider against Scotland, who secured a convincing 40-13 victory against the USA.
In Pool B, the Netherlands emerged victorious against Slovakia with a commanding 17-2 win. Late tries from captain John Mata Samuelu and replacement prop Robert Jr. Robertson helped seal the victory for the Pacific Island nation. Spain joined the Netherlands at the top of Pool B after an entertaining 48-18 win against Kenya.
