The Chairman of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), Honourable Gbenga Elegbeleye, has been appointed as a member of the Interim Management Board of the Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB) Golf Club.
According to a press release signed by Lere Olayinka, the Senior Special Assistant for Public Communication and Social Media, the appointment of Honourable Elegbeleye, a former member of the House of Representatives, along with other members of the board, headed by Dr. Peter Deshi, was approved by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike.
With the Nigerian top-flight league (NPFL) witnessing a tremendous turnaround under his leadership, Honourable Elegbeleye is expected to bring his Midas touch to bear as he takes on this new responsibility.
Other members of the board include Barrister Yomi Oyekola, who will serve as the secretary; Arc. Nanwor Mamven; Arc. Arabi Bello; Mrs. Ekanem Ekwueme; Lawan Aboki; Okey Nnaedozie; Fred Otobo; and Julius Fadairo.
The FCT Minister, while congratulating the appointees, urged them to work assiduously to reposition the IBB Golf Club.
The board is expected to assume duty immediately.
