Great Britain's Olympic and world champion Tom Pidcock clinched his fourth consecutive victory at the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup cross country race in Nove Mesto, Czech Republic. The 24-year-old Ineos Grenadiers rider maintained his unbeaten streak on this course, making a decisive move on the fourth lap to surpass Swiss competitors Nino Schurter and Marcel Guerrini.
Pidcock remarked on his strategy, stating, "Once I got going I just tried to go to the front and find my own pace." He emphasized the importance of adapting to the numerous lines on the track, noting that each lap required a different approach. This win sets a positive tone for Pidcock as he prepares to defend his Olympic title in Paris this summer.
Additionally, British riders Charlie Aldridge and Cameron Orr finished in fourth and 63rd places, respectively, showcasing a strong performance from the British contingent at the event.
