Welsh rider Stephen Williams secured the Tour of Britain title, becoming the first homegrown champion in eight years. Williams, representing Israel–Premier Tech, clinched the title after winning the second and third stages earlier in the week. His final time of 21 hours, 25 minutes, and 14 seconds placed him 16 seconds ahead of Scotland's Oscar Onley. This victory marked Williams' third title in 13 months and was the first time a home rider had won the Tour of Britain since 2016.
On the final day of racing, Matevz Govekar of Bahrain Victorious triumphed in the sixth and final stage, a 158.4km route from Lowestoft to Felixstowe. Govekar edged out Denmark's Rasmus Pedersen and Britain’s Ben Swift in a dramatic sprint finish, capping off a strong performance in the race. Despite this stage win, Govekar could not disrupt Williams’ overall lead.
France's Paul Magnier, who was looking to match the record for the most individual stage wins in a single Tour of Britain, faced disappointment. Magnier's bid for history came to an abrupt end when he had to abandon the final stage due to a fall with 35 kilometers remaining.
