Sports Minister announces plans for Annual Sports Awards Ceremony

The Honourable Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Owan Enoh, has endorsed the hosting of an annual sports awards ceremony dedicated to honoring sports legends, current stars, and key contributors shaping the country's sporting landscape.

The Minister expressed his support during the official handover of a training pitch at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, adopted and upgraded by AfriKing Homes Ltd under the Adopt-A-Facility program.

Senator Enoh emphasized the importance of recognizing and celebrating the exemplary achievements of sports icons. He also acknowledged the pivotal role played by individuals and entities in propelling the nation's sporting development.

"We have committed to organizing an annual sports awards ceremony from next year," the Minister said. "The ceremony will honor current sports figures, legends, sports lovers, business professionals, and individuals contributing to sports growth and development."
