As Nigeria Council of Sports approved the debut of Teqball in its next Youth Games, the Chairman of Delta State Teqball Association, Marvel Dick, has expressed joy the decision which would see the youths compete in Teqball during the Games.
Africa Sport Network (ASN) reports that the organisers of the National Youth Games have included Teqball in the list of sporting events during the 2023 National Youth Games scheduled for Asaba, Delta State, in September.
Dick, who had embarked on several strategies to develop and popularise the game in the South South State of Delta, opines that debuting at the National Youth Games will further endear the sport in the hearts of many Nigerians.
“Teqball has been listed for the National Youth Games which will hold in Asaba in September,” informs the athletic-built Delta Teqball Chairman.
On the final day of the 2022/2023 NNL Super 8 Playoff in Asaba, Friday, July 7, there was a demonstration of Teqball at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, much to the delight of the spectators.
"Teqball enhances the skills of young players as well as retired players as there’s no age barrier in Teqball," Dick had explained.
