Southern zone win LGAN zonal championship of 2023 Nigeria Ladies Open

Sandra Emina and Ohio Ugbehu from the Southern Zone have emerged as winners in the four zonal championships at the 2023 Nigeria Ladies Open in Abuja.

The intelligent duo amassed a total of 170 gross with nett scores of 86 and 84 respectively.

They were closely followed by Sandra Komakech and Blessing Obaje from the Northern Zone, who also gathered 170 gross with nett scores of 86 and 84 but were beaten on count-back.

Helen Ayo and Nnena Ahube from the Eastern Zone settled for the third position after posting a gross score of 174 with nett scores of 87 and 87.

Hauwa Adamu and Susan Marcus from the Western Zone finished at the bottom of the leaderboard with 176 gross and nett scores of 90 and 86 respectively.

In the match past, the Northern Zone impressed the judges the most as they emerged winners with a total score of 355.

The Eastern Zone came second with a total of 313, while the Western Zone with 283 points and the Southern Zone with 254 points finished third and fourth respectively.

The 2023 Nigeria Ladies Open, organized by LGAN, began on Thursday and is expected to conclude on Sunday at the TYB International Golf Resort and Country Club in Abuja.
