Rory McIlroy has been grouped with Brooks Koepka and Hideki Matsuyama for the first two rounds of the 123rd US Open.
McIlroy, currently ranked No. 3 in the world, will have a late-early draw, starting on Thursday and then teeing off at 8:24 am on Friday at Los Angeles Country Club.
Koepka, who recently won the PGA Championship and seeks his third US Open title, has the opportunity to join Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods as the only players to have won both championships three times.
The group also includes world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, who has consistently performed well on the PGA Tour this season, finishing no worse than 12th in any start.
