Rickie Fowler and Jordan Spieth interested in investing in Leeds United

Rickie Fowler, along with fellow US golfers Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas, has revealed their interest in investing in Leeds United as part of the club's upcoming takeover by 49ers Enterprises.
The American investment group has agreed on a £170m deal to acquire chairman Andrea Radrizzani's controlling stake. Fowler expressed his enthusiasm about potentially joining the investment group and becoming a part of Leeds United.
The trio of golfers became fans of the club through English golfer Matt Fitzpatrick's caddie, who hails from Yorkshire. While Fowler acknowledges the club's recent relegation, he looks forward to experiencing the atmosphere of a Premier League or Champions League game and supporting Leeds United.
Radrizzani initially purchased Leeds outright in 2017 for £45m, but his stake has since reduced to 56%. The San Francisco 49ers' investment arm acquired a 15% stake in 2018, which increased to 44% in 2021.
Following their relegation, Leeds had to renegotiate the previous agreement, which was contingent on their top-flight survival.
