Rasmus Tiller wins stage seven of the Tour of Britain

Posted : 09 September 2023
Tiller completed the 170.9km course from Tewkesbury to Gloucester in a time of three hours, fifty minutes, and fifty-three seconds.

During stage seven of the Tour of Britain, Wout van Aert made several late attacks but was eventually caught, and Rasmus Tiller claimed victory in the final sprint.

Rasmus Tiller, riding for Uno-X Pro Cycling, proved to be the fastest among the 13 riders who reached the finish line, outpacing Danny van Poppel and Great Britain's Stephen Williams.

With just 800 meters left until the finish line in Gloucester, Van Aert was overtaken by the pursuing pack.

However, the Belgian cyclist maintained his three-second lead in the overall standings as they approach the final stage on Sunday.

A group of ten riders, led by Van Poppel and Tiller, trails by ten seconds in the general classification, including British cyclists Mark Donovan, Stephen Williams, and Zeb Kyffin, who currently occupy the seventh, eighth, and ninth positions.

The Tour of Britain's concluding stage on Sunday will cover a 166.8km route through South Wales, commencing at Margam Country Park and concluding in Caerphilly.
