Following six days of competitive round-robin play at the World Mixed Curling Championship, the 16 teams that will compete in the playoffs have been finalized. The top three teams from each group, along with four teams from Group C, secured their places in the 1/8 finals, which are scheduled for Friday at 9:00 and 13:00.
The teams advancing to the playoffs include Canada, Czechia, and New Zealand from Group A; Sweden, Poland, and Italy from Group B; the United States, Spain, Slovenia, and Scotland from Group C; Norway, Japan, and the Netherlands from Group D; and Switzerland, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine from Group E. These matchups set the stage for an exciting playoff round, with teams eager to continue their pursuit of victory.
The 1/8 finals will feature several key matchups, including Sweden taking on Scotland, and the United States facing New Zealand in the morning session. In the afternoon, Norway will compete against Slovenia, while Canada will face the Netherlands. Winners from these matches will progress to the Quarter-finals later that evening, with semi-finals set for Saturday, October 19, followed by the gold and bronze medal games.
