Pieterse and Schwarzbauer clinch UCI Mountain Bike Short-Track titles in Mont-Saint-Anne

Puck Pieterse of Alpecin-Deceuninck secured the women's short-track title at the UCI Mountain Bike World Series by finishing fifth in Mont-Saint-Anne. She had a close battle with her rival Alessandra Keller early in the race before making a move to secure her title double. Pieterse's smart tactics helped her protect her lead in the overall standings, shadowing Keller and ultimately securing the title with consistent riding.
In the men's race, Luca Schwarzbauer from Canyon CLLCTV claimed the short-track overall title with a seventh-place finish. Jordan Sarrou was the only contender who could challenge Schwarzbauer, but he couldn't secure the win needed to put pressure on the German rider. Schwarzbauer had to focus on maintaining his position in the top 20 to secure the overall title, and he described the race as tough and draining.
Pieterse's victory marked a remarkable achievement in women's mountain biking, while Schwarzbauer's tactical approach helped him clinch the overall title despite the challenging race conditions.
