Patton Kizzire clinched his first US PGA Tour victory in over six years with a final-round score of 70 at the Procore Championship, marking his third career title. The 38-year-old American, who last won the Sony Open in 2018, celebrated the win as a significant personal achievement after a period of underperformance.
Kizzire, who held a four-shot lead going into the final round at Silverado Resort in Napa, California, finished with a five-shot margin over David Lipsky. Despite bogeys on the ninth and 11th holes, Kizzire's earlier eagle at the par-five fifth and subsequent birdies on the 12th, 13th, and 15th holes secured his victory.
Reflecting on his performance, Kizzire acknowledged the hard work he put into his game and expressed satisfaction with overcoming recent struggles, including missing the cut in his previous two tournaments and failing to qualify for the FedEx Cup playoffs. He commended Lipsky for applying pressure but remained disciplined and focused throughout the round.
