No fewer than 80 players are expected to participate in the Taekwondo Open President’s Cup beginning on Friday in Abuja, Kabir Yusuf, Secretary-General, Nigeria Taekwondo Federation (NTF), says.
Yusuf said that the tournament would see players from different parts of the country participating.
He said the three-day event would feature para, poomsae and kyrougi events for both the male and female categories.
“The tournament is not a qualifying event. It’s the President’s Cup.
“The aim is to give athletes opportunities to develop themselves, compete against others and improve their skills and talents and be in form,” he said.
The tournament is scheduled for the Moshood Abiola National Stadium.
