The last major event in the calendar of the Nigeria Scrabble Federation (NSF), the Janet Adowei Memorial Scrabble Classics (JAMSC), will now take place on November 16th and 17th at the Chevron Recreational Club, Gbagada, Lagos, the organisers have announced.
Now in its 5th year, the Classics will have three divisions: Masters, Intermediate, and Opens.
The cut-off rating point is 1,400 and above for Masters, 1,100-1,399 for Intermediate, and 0-1,099 for the Opens Division.

It is an 18-round competition rated by the Nigeria Scrabble Federation (NSF) and will run for two days. Games will start at 10 a.m. daily, with the 2021 Collins Scrabble Dictionary as the reference material.
The organisers have set the following registration fees: Masters - N20,000, Intermediate - N15,000, and the Open event - N10,000.
The registration window will close on November 3rd, and the top prize money for the Masters category will be N750,000, with many spot prizes also up for grabs. The Classics is supported by the Nigeria Scrabble Federation, Mind Games Incorporated, and Lekki Scrabble Club.
Ryan Jacob is the defending champion in the Masters category.
