NVF President, Nimrod, doles out 2025 Scholarship to 12 Kaduna Volleyball players

In his characteristic philanthropic gesture, the Chairman of the Kaduna State Volleyball Association (KADSVA) has credited the bank accounts of 12 players in the state in support of their educational pursuits.


This was stated in a release signed by the member representing the media on the KADSVA Board, Okpani Jacob Onjewu Dickson, and made available to sportswriters in Kaduna on Sunday, January 26, 2025.


According to the statement, the Secretary of KADSVA, Adamu Mohammed, while disclosing the details over the weekend, explained that this is an annual support provided by Engineer Nimrod, who is also the President of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF), the Secretary-General of Zone 3 CAVB, and the President of African Beach Volleyball.


"It is financial support for 12 students from Kada Kings and Kada Emeralds, to continue their studies at various tertiary institutions in Nigeria for the 2024/2025 academic session," he explained.


Speaking further, he added, "This is another historical achievement from our Chairman of the Kaduna State Volleyball Association, President of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation, Secretary-General of Zone 3, and President of African Beach Volleyball."


According to him, "The 12 players have had their respective amounts credited to their accounts via transfers."


He explained that the beneficiaries are players from Kada Kings and Kada Emeralds, with each player receiving N80,000 per session, totaling N960,000.


He informed that the beneficiaries are as follows: Chioma Samuel from Bayero University (Sociology), Jerry Alexander from Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Jamilu Musa from Taraba State University (Peace and Conflict), and Esther Mbah from Nassarawa State University (Marketing).


Others include: Fanny Stephen from FUT Minna (Estate Management), Patience Andrew from Kaduna State University (Public Administration), Mukthedha Abdullahi from Taraba State University (Information Science), Chilota Marvellous from Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic (Mass Communication), Fadilat Ibrahim from Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic (Mass Communication), Jethro Ishaku from Federal University Dutse (Cyber Security), Deborah Akinsola from Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic (Science Lab Tech), and Jethro Danlami from Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic (Electrical Electronics).
