Pompigne stated, "I am here in Nigeria to applaud the federation's leaders for their tireless efforts in developing the sport since the ban was lifted. They have accomplished great work that is now visible on the global stage. Consequently, I am here to offer support to the federation and further contribute to the development of rugby in Nigeria."
