Nov. handover date for Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium sacrosanct, says Rangers

The management of seven-time league winners, 1974, 1975, 1977, 1981, 1982, 1984, and 2016, Rangers International FC of Enugu, on Thursday announced that the November completion date for the renovation work at their home ground, Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu, dubbed "The Cathedral," as promised to the people of Enugu State by the Executive Governor of the State, His Excellency, Dr. Peter Mbah, in his speech on his 100 days in office, is becoming realizable.
The club stated that the materials for the renovations have started arriving for work to resume.
The club said that a 40-foot container arrived at the site with the Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Enugu State, Barrister Lloyd Ekweremadu; Rangers G.M./CEO, Barrister Amobi Ezeaku; Enugu State F.A. Secretary, Ugwu Francis; and many other sports stakeholders on the ground.

A representative of the firm handling the renovation work assured the stakeholders and officials of the government that more materials were on their way to the site.
He further revealed that in the coming week, all materials would have arrived for work on the project to be completed by the November date promised.
With this development, the fans of Rangers International F.C. will soon have the opportunity to watch their club prosecute matches in the 2023/2024 NPFL season, which has already seen three matchdays gone.
