Northern Cape Heat names Mduduzi Mbatha as new head coach

Mbatha, a highly experienced coach with a strong background in cricket, has been appointed as the new head coach of Northern Cape Heat. His cricket career started as a talented youth player, earning recognition with SA Schools cricket. Over time, Mbatha transitioned into coaching, beginning in the Northerns age-group systems where he worked closely with young players at the grassroots level. This experience laid the foundation for his future coaching roles, including leading the Titans Academy and serving as the assistant coach for Northerns' semi-professional team, where he gained invaluable insights into senior domestic cricket.

Mbatha continued to progress in his coaching career, taking on the role of head coach at the Dolphins Academy. His skills and leadership were further recognized when he became the assistant coach for the Hollywoodbets Dolphins, a position that solidified his experience at the top level of domestic cricket.
