NIS, Landmark Beach Lagos set for 2023 Sandie Rugby Eleven Rumbles

The organizers of the 2023 Sandie Rugby Eleven Rumbles disclosed on Wednesday that the event would be staged at two different centers: the National Institute of Sports (NIS) at the National Stadium Surulere and Landmark Beach Resort, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The defending champions, Nigeria Falcons, will compete against five other teams: Gosar RFC, Racing RFC, Kings Rugby Team, Accra Rugby Team, and Cowrie RFC as they aim for 'Tries' at the Sandie Beach Rugby Eleven.

The Sandie Rugby Eleven Rumbles event has lived up to expectations as a sports event spiced up with entertainment, with the organizers stepping up all activities needed for an exciting event scheduled for Nov. 25 and 26.

According to the organizers, exciting moments await rugby enthusiasts and fun-lovers when they arrive at the National Institute for Sports and the iconic Landmark Beach.

The venues hold the honor of being the foremost citadel for sports and the first private beachfront in Lagos known for its splendor and recreational ambiance.

A mini-tournament has also been set aside for children to learn and enjoy the game on the beach.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Turbo Crest, Tubosun Johnson, organizer of the event, said that the Sandie Beach Rugby Eleven would again add color and panache to popularize the sport in the country in a different style.

He mentioned that many side attractions have been made available to put enthusiasts and fun-seekers alike in the mood for the festive season.

"This edition will be held on November 25 and 26 at the NIS in Surulere and Landmark Beach on Victoria Island.

``Rugby will once again be the center of attraction. However, there will be side attractions like face painting, body arts, bikini contests, and macho-man competitions.

``There will also be performing artists and many other activities that attendees will enjoy."
