Nigeria's Oboh, Olapade make progress at Open De Libreville Round 3

The coast is now clear for Georgia Oboh of Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) of Nigeria to clinch another professional title in Africa after taking a firm lead at the end of round 3.
The Nigeria blazing star closed round three on 73 gross, 1-over course par at the Libreville Golf Club in Gabon to put her earlier joint-lead, South African Zethu Miyeki, behind by one shot.
Oboh has so far shot 77, 77, 73 to gross 227, 11-over course par; while Miyeki has shot 76, 78, 74 on 228 gross, 12-over course par, over three days.
In the same vein, Senegalese Oumy Dieye is now third from the fifth position after an improved 75 gross, 3-over course par at the end of round three haven shot 85, 80 in the previous two rounds; total gross now 240, 24-over course par.
Meanwhile, in the men’s event Nigeria’s Sunday Olapade who now eyes the top spot is on joint-third with Pristy Fon Nji; Olapade has shot 71, 71, 70 with a gross of 212, 4-under course par, over three days, while Nji 71, 70, 71, ditto 212 gross, 4-under course par.
Greg Snow and Visitor Mapwanya are however, joint-lead on 209 gross, 7-under course par over three days: Snow shot 69, 71, 69, while Wapwanya shot, 66, 71, 72.
Incidentally, Nigeria’s Inenye Wesley, is on joint 17th position after three rounds of 79, 78, 75 to gross 232, 16-over course par.
Monday’s game and of course, the final showdown will sensationally determine who wears the crown between the ladies and gentlemen at the 2023 Open De Libreville in Gabon.
