Nigeria's CNS Spikers, Olalomi Royal Spikers claim victory in 2023 National Volleyball League

The Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) Spikers and Olalomi Royal Spikers have emerged champions of the 2023 National Division 1 Volleyball League in the men's and women's categories.
 
CNS Spikers beat the Nigeria Correctional Service 3-0 (25-19, 25-23, 25-17) in the final match to maintain a 100% winning record in the men's competition, while Olalomi Royal Spikers defeated the Nigeria Air Force 3-2 (19-25, 18-25, 25-18, 25-21, 15-13) in the women's match on Sunday.
 
CNS Spikers secured first place with a total of 24 points, the Nigeria Correctional Service finished in the second position with a total of 18 points, and surprisingly, Kwara United placed third with a cumulative total of 7 points; UCEM of Enugu also had a total of 7 points and came fourth, while G-Ranks Spikers claimed the fifth position with a total of 4 points in the men's National Division 1 League.
 
In the women's Division 1 League, Olalomi Royal Spikers secured the first position with 8 points, while the Nigeria Air Force (NAF) Rocket team took the second position with a total of 3 points.
 
Two men's teams (CNS Spikers and Nigeria Correctional Service) and two women's teams (Olalomi Royal Spikers) have gained promotion to next year's Nigeria Volleyball Premier League.
 
Meanwhile, Life Camp VC won the 2023 National Division 2 League and has earned promotion to next year's National Division 1 League.
 
Life Camp maintained an unbeaten run in the second phase of the 2023 National Division 2 Volleyball League to finish first with 48 points. In second place is Sword VC of Makurdi with 41 points, while the Nigeria Air Force (NAF) Rockets finished in the third position with 32 points.
 
In the fourth position is Oluyole Spikers of Oyo state with 32 points, Safety Spikers finished in fifth place with 22 points, and Adamawa Spikers secured the sixth place after amassing 20 points. Ajase Ipo and Olalomi Royal Spikers settled for the seventh and eighth positions with 14 and 8 points, respectively.
