Blessing Etim, the captain of the Nigeria Female Cricket Team (Yellow Green), has assured their fans that the team would bounce back at their next match after the loss to Tanzania in their second match. The Nigerian team lost to Tanzania in their second match at the ongoing NCF Women T20i invitational tournament at the Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) in Lagos. Etim said that losing to the Tanzanian team was not expected, as the team has what it takes to win their second match.
"It's not expected to lose against Tanzania because we have all it takes to win the match. It was just a bad day for us, and we have learned our lessons, so in our next match, we are going to bounce back and take our leading position," she said.
The Nigerian captain also said that though the tournament was ongoing, there was a probability that all the teams would come back stronger in their second match, but the Nigeria Cricket T20i team had an edge over others as the defending champion. Tanzania won by an unassailable 39 runs over Nigeria. Nigeria only managed 85 runs on the board during their batting, dropping eight wickets in 20 overs, while Tanzania got 134 runs, dropping only four wickets in 20 overs.
