Litto Team Volleyball defeats CNS Spikers to reach quarter finals

Litto Team Volleyball (LTV) of Cameroon defeated Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) Spikers of Nigeria 3-1 in the 2025 African Women’s Volleyball Club Championship in Abuja to reach the quarterfinals.


The Round of 16 match, played on Tuesday at the gymnasium hall of Moshood Abiola National Stadium, featured intense rallies and impressive plays from both teams.


LTV of Cameroon took an early lead with a series of sharp attacks and well-timed blocks, winning the first set 25-22.


The second set was closely contested, but LTV of Cameroon managed to pull ahead, winning 25-18.


CNS Spikers of Nigeria made a strong comeback in the third set, dominating with powerful spikes and an ace, taking it 25-18.


The final set saw LTV of Cameroon regain momentum with determined plays and strategic blocks, securing the win 25-17 and clinching the match 3-1.


With this victory, LTV of Cameroon advances to the quarterfinals, while CNS Spikers are eliminated from the competition.


In their previous Pool B matches, CNS Spikers had defeated Spiking Stars Volleyball (SSV) of Botswana 3-0 and lost 0-3 to Zamalek Sporting Club (ZMK) of Egypt.


In their last group match, they lost to Kenya Prisons Volleyball Club 0-3.


In other matches, Sococim (SOC) of Senegal lost to two-time champions Club Féminin de Carthage of Tunisia (CFC) 0-3 (11-25, 17-25, 20-25).


The tournament serves as the continental qualifier for the FIVB 2025 Volleyball Women’s Club Championship.


Sixteen teams are participating in the championship, which runs from April 1 to April 14.
