Lilia Vu wins second major title, defeating Charley Hull

Lilia Vu showcased a composed performance to secure victory at the Women's Open held at Walton Heath, marking her second major title of the year.
Already the Chevron Championship champion in April, Vu triumphed by a comfortable six-shot margin over England's Charley Hull.
Starting the final round tied with Hull for the lead, the 25-year-old American carded an impressive five-under 67, highlighted by six birdies.
Charley Hull's quest for her maiden major win continues, following her recent second-place finish at the US Women's Open. This near miss in Surrey added to her near misses.
The last pair experienced a momentary interruption due to a demonstration on the 17th green, but play promptly resumed, allowing Vu to secure her victory without major disruptions.
Struggling to keep up with Vu on the front nine, Hull managed an outstanding bunker shot for an eagle on the 11th, reducing the lead to three shots.
However, Vu responded magnificently with an approach shot on the 12th, setting up a birdie that extended the lead to four. This virtually extinguished the hopes of seeing an English winner of the Women's Open for the first time since 2018.
The final round initially promised an intriguing battle, with local favorite Hull sharing the top spot with Vu at nine under, while 11 other players remained within five shots of the leaders.
Yet, one by one, Vu's competitors faltered, allowing the world number six to pull away.
By the fourth green, Vu had established a three-shot lead, and consecutive birdies on the ninth and 10th extended her advantage to five strokes.
Although she conceded a two-shot swing on the 11th to her closest challenger, 27-year-old Hull, Vu's strong position remained unshaken.
Vu's victory was secured without significant alarms. Even when a wayward tee shot led to her first bogey of the day on the par-four 15th, Hull couldn't capitalize and also recorded a bogey.
Jiyai Shin of South Korea, a two-time Women's Open champion, finished third at seven under.
World number one Nelly Korda finished the tournament at two under par after a two-over 74, while fellow American Ally Ewing, who had held a five-shot lead at the midway point, concluded at four under following a disappointing 75.
