Kwara state Judo Association hold trials

The Kwara State Judo Association has held trials at the Stadium Complex as the state prepares for the upcoming National Sports Festival, which is slated for Ogun State early next year.


Addressing the athletes after the trials, the Director of Sports, Ibrahim Bako, urged them to intensify their training to make a meaningful impact at the festival.

He noted that while the trial performance was commendable, the athletes are not yet at the level required to compete effectively at the festival.


While praising the athletes for their efforts during the trials, he encouraged them to enhance their training, as they possess the qualities of future champions.


The Commission Secretary, Haruna Tsado, in his remarks, described the trials as a welcome development and encouraged the athletes to maintain their momentum.


Also commenting, the Head of Organizing, Hamidu Olowo, praised the initiative and commended the athletes and coaches for their efforts.


Token awards were presented to the athletes at the end of the trials as an encouragement to step up their training.
